You&#8217;ll need the following information.<br />
Server address: lil-josh-demo.googlecode.com <strong>(replace with yours)</strong><br />
Repository Path: /svn/trunk<br />
Username: JoshFromIU@gmail.com <strong>(replace with yours)</strong><br />
Password: You can find your password by clicking <a title="Googlecode password" href="http://code.google.com/hosting/settings" target="_blank">googlecode.com password</a>.</li>
<li>Open your site in Dreamweaver. From the dropdown click Site -&gt; Manage Sites and double click your site to open it.</li>
<li>Click the Version Control tab from the left.</li>
<li>Enter your Google code information from step 3. For example:<br />
<img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-395 noshad" alt="Dreamweaver Settings" src="http://i0.wp.com/liljosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Screen-Shot-2012-12-24-at-3.32.25-PM.png?resize=480%2C284" data-recalc-dims="1" /></li>
<li>Click Test and then Save if everything worked.</li>
<li>I&#8217;d recommend watching this video to get a quick overview of the Dreamweaver&#8217;s Subversion features: <a title="Dreamweaver SVN" href="http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/working-with-subversion-and-dreamweaver/" target="_blank">http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/working-with-subversion-and-dreamweaver/</a> (skip to 1:40)</li>
</ol>
<p>I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to setup a subversion server, and found that Google Code was the easiest solution. If you have any feedback or questions feel free to leave a comment. Thank you and enjoy!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I came across a problem where I wanted to display HTML code on a page using XSLT, but I needed to replace all &#8216;&lt;&#8217; and &#8216;&gt;&#8217; characters with the HTML entity &#8216;&amp;lt;&#8217; and &#8216;&amp;gt;&#8217;. With XSLT 2.0 this would have been super simple using the built-in replace() function. However, I was stuck with XSLT 1.0. My solution was to use jQuery to select the element I wanted to display and then replace all the mentioned characters within it. Here&#8217;s an example:</p>
<pre class="brush: jscript; title: ; notranslate">
$(document).ready(function() {

var body = $(&quot;body&quot;).html();
body = body.replace(/&lt;/g, &quot;&amp;lt;&quot;);
body = body.replace(/&gt;/g, &quot;&amp;gt;&quot;);
$(&quot;body&quot;).html(body);

});
</pre>

		<description><![CDATA[This guide will show you how to keep your navigation at the top as you scroll down the page. You can see a demonstration on this page by scrolling down.]]></description>
				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This guide will show you how to keep your navigation at the top as you scroll down the page. You can see a demonstration on this page by scrolling down. Notice how the navigation scrolls down with you. There is very little code involved, so here we go!</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Determine what your navigation #ID is</strong>. In this example, my navigation ID is #navi You should replace mine with your own. There is a good plugin for <a title="Web Developer" href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/" target="_blank">Firefox</a> and <a title="Web Developer" href="https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bfbameneiokkgbdmiekhjnmfkcnldhhm" target="_blank">Chrome</a> called Web Developer, which allows you to &#8220;Display Element Information&#8221; when you click on an element, such as navigation. I recommend using this plugin to determine your navigation #ID.</li>
<li><strong>Add this jQuery code</strong> near the footer/bottom of your site.:
<pre class="brush: jscript; highlight: [7,18,20]; title: ; notranslate">
/****************************************
 * Floating Navigation jQuery feature
 ****************************************/
$(function() {

	// get initial top offset of navigation
	var floating_navigation_offset_top = $('#navi').offset().top;

	// define the floating navigation function
	var floating_navigation = function(){
                // current vertical position from the top
		var scroll_top = $(window).scrollTop();

		// if scrolled more than the navigation, change its
                // position to fixed to float to top, otherwise change
                // it back to relative
		if (scroll_top &gt; floating_navigation_offset_top) {
			$('#navi').css({ 'position': 'fixed', 'top':0});
		} else {
			$('#navi').css({ 'position': 'relative' });
		}
	};

	// run function on load
	floating_navigation();

	// run function every time you scroll
	$(window).scroll(function() {
		 floating_navigation();
	});

});</pre>
</li>
<li><strong>Replace #navi with your own navigation ID</strong> on the lines highlighted above.</li>
<li><strong>OPTIONAL: To ensure your navigation stays on top, add a high z-index.</strong> Open your CSS stylesheet and find your navigation CSS and add this property:
<pre class="brush: css; title: ; notranslate">
z-index:99999;
</pre>
</li>
</ol>
<p>That&#8217;s all! Feel free to leave your site URLs where you&#8217;ve used this feature. Also, if you have any recommendations for future how-to guides please <a href="http://liljosh.com/poke/" title="Poke">contact me</a> with your ideas.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this article I will explain how to keep your WordPress site secure so that it is not vulnerable to an attack. WordPress is a popular target since many WordPress sites become outdated and hackers are aware of vulnerabilities in older WordPress versions.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://wordpress.org/download/">Download the Latest WordPress</a> now or visit Dashboard → Updates in your site admin to update now. </strong>For full instructions on updating WordPress see <a href="http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress" target="_blank">http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress</a></p>
<p>Keeping WordPress secure is especially important on shared hosting (such as GoDaddy or HostGator), since a compromise can affect all of the sites on that server. The following are my recommendations for keeping WordPress secure so that your site is not a target for attack.</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Update WordPress</strong>, <strong>plugins</strong>, and <strong>themes</strong> to the most current version. For instructions on updating WordPress see <a href="http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress" target="_blank">http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress</a></li>
<li>Locate wp-config.php on your server and <strong>update the security keys</strong>. This makes your site harder to hack by adding random elements to the password. For instructions on updating the security keys see <a href="http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Security_Keys" target="_blank">http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Security_Keys</a></li>
<li>Make wp-config.php readable by only you (<strong>chmod 600 wp-config.php</strong>). This file contains database information and security keys that would allow a hacker to gain control of your site.</li>
<li><strong>Don&#8217;t have plugins that you don&#8217;t need.</strong> Review your plugins and remove any that are not used.</li>
<li>Backup your database often. There are WordPress plugins that can backup your database automatically. I recommend <a title="WP-DB-Backup" href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/" target="_blank">WP-DB-Backup</a></li>
<li><a title="Backing Up Your Site" href="http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups#Backing_Up_Your_WordPress_Site" target="_blank">Backup all of your site files</a> before doing an update (especially wp-content/ since that contains your site themes and plugins).</li>
<li>NEVER have world writable files or folders.</li>
<li>Remove unused WordPress users and update passwords regularly.</li>
<li>If you are setting up WordPress, consider using a different table prefix (other than wp_). This makes it harder to hackers to guess the table name.</li>
<li>All of the suggestions made above are irrelevant if your computer has a keylogger installed. Be sure to keep your OS and antivirus up-to-date.</li>
</ol>
<p>Feel free to <a title="Poke" href="http://liljosh.com/poke/">contact me</a> if you have any questions about these suggestions or if you&#8217;d like me to take a quick look at your site.</p>

<ol>
<li>To get this working in your WordPress site you will first need to install the &#8220;Subscribe2&#8243; plugin. You can search and install this from WordPress by going to Plugins -&gt; Add new and then searching for Subscribe2</li>
<li>Once you&#8217;ve installed Subscribe2, review the plugin settings and determine which posts categories should be sent out and how often. I also checked the Enable Subscribe2 widget option so that I could use the subscribe plugin in my sidebar (look to your left).</li>
<li>If you are going to insert the form into a page, then edit the page and you will see S2 in the WYSIWYG. Simply click that.</li>
<li>If you are going to insert the form into a widget (e.g. sidebar), then go to Appearance -&gt; Widgets and drag the Subscribe2 widget to your sidebar.</li>
<li><em>The rest of this tutorial assume you are using the widget method.</em></li>
<li>You can configure the options, but I only changed the class from &#8220;search&#8221; to &#8220;subscribe&#8221; and also removed the &#8217;2&#8242; from the title.</li>
<li>At this point your Subscribe input field and buttons may look pretty wimpy. That&#8217;s okay we will address that now.</li>
<li>Open your stylesheet and add two new styles for:</li>
<ol>
<li>.subscribe input[type=text] { /* these styles are for the text field */ }</li>
<li>.subscribe input[type=submit] { /* these styles are for the buttons */ }</li>
</ol>
<li>Here is the full CSS I used to style my subscribe widget</li>
<pre class="brush: css; title: ; notranslate">
.subscribe input[type=text] {
   width: 260px;
   height: 20px;

.subscribe input[type=text]:focus {

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ever wanted to put a Facebook page&#8217;s feed into your website? Every Facebook page has an RSS &amp; JSON feed. In this tutorial I will show you how to use PHP and JSON to pull the feed from Facebook without authentication.</p>
<ol>
<li>You will need your page ID. You can get this from https://graph.facebook.com/yourpage for example <a href="https://graph.facebook.com/HoosierHeights" target="_blank">https://graph.facebook.com/HoosierHeights</a> If your page does not have a username, you can visit your page and copy the last numbers in the URL for example:
<p>https://www.facebook.com/pages/HoosierHeights/<strong>163276271689 </strong></li>
<li>Now that you have your page ID you can view the JSON feed at this URL:<br />
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=163276271689&amp;format=json" target="_blank">http://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=<strong>163276271689</strong>&amp;format=json</a><br />
(replacing the number with your page ID).</li>
<li>Here is the PHP code to pull the JSON feed into your site. (Be sure to replace the URL with your own).
<pre class="brush: php; title: ; notranslate">
&lt;?
//replace the Page ID with your own
$url = &quot;http://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=163276271689&amp;format=json&quot;;

// disguises the curl using fake headers and a fake user agent.
function disguise_curl($url)
{
  $curl = curl_init();

  // Setup headers - the same headers from Firefox version 2.0.0.6
  // below was split up because the line was too long.
  $header[0] = &quot;Accept: text/xml,application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,&quot;;
  $header[0] .= &quot;text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5&quot;;
  $header[] = &quot;Cache-Control: max-age=0&quot;;
  $header[] = &quot;Connection: keep-alive&quot;;
  $header[] = &quot;Keep-Alive: 300&quot;;
  $header[] = &quot;Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7&quot;;
  $header[] = &quot;Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5&quot;;
  $header[] = &quot;Pragma: &quot;; // browsers keep this blank.

  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, 'Mozilla');
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, $header);
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_REFERER, '');
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_ENCODING, 'gzip,deflate');
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_AUTOREFERER, true);
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
  curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 10);

  $html = curl_exec($curl); // execute the curl command
  curl_close($curl); // close the connection

  return $html; // and finally, return $html
}

// uses the function and displays the text off the website
$text = disguise_curl($url);

$json_feed_object = json_decode($text);

foreach ( $json_feed_object-&gt;entries as $entry )
{
        echo &quot;&lt;h2&gt;{$entry-&gt;title}&lt;/h2&gt;&quot;;
	$published = date(&quot;g:i A F j, Y&quot;, strtotime($entry-&gt;published));
	echo &quot;&lt;small&gt;{$published}&lt;/small&gt;&quot;;
	echo &quot;&lt;p&gt;{$entry-&gt;content}&lt;/p&gt;&quot;;
	echo &quot;&lt;hr /&gt;&quot;;
}
?&gt;
</pre>
</li>
</ol>
<p>That&#8217;s it! Easy right? I would like to give credit to <a href="http://twitter.com/mdlamar" title="@mdlamar" target="_blank">@mdlamar</a> for providing help with this idea.</p>
